Each and every step of Amy Green’s journey with AimBig is as important as the other.

After a run of unwanted experiences with a few job active providers, Amy was struggling to find her calling.

She decided to be proactive and commenced looking into other job active providers in the Disability Employment Services (DES) sector. She wanted results. After many conversations and recommendations Amy found AimBig.

Amy had to jump a couple of hurdles to get where she is now with AimBig.

“AimBig saw me through some tough times in 2019 and ALWAYS supported me in what I needed to do”, said Ms Green.

Amy successfully completed her Certificate III in Community Services in early October 2019 after a very rocky start to the year. AimBig and the dedicated Job Coaches provided support and assistance where needed in order to find work placement for Amy following the successful completion of her studies.

When an internal position became available, the Hunter Valley Area Manager and Amy’s Job Coach from AimBig recognised her hard work and commitment and encouraged her to apply.

Amy said, “I was a little unsure about applying but I guess that was just my self-doubt. These two people believed in me and knew that I would excel in this position. It is my calling.”

“I am now going into my seventh working week at AimBig Employment as an employee. I have not found another workplace quite like this one. Don’t get me wrong, I have loved my previous positions and the opportunities they have provided me with to get where I am today but I feel like I have finally found where I belong within the employment world.”

“I love everything my job entails, the people I work with are nothing short of amazing and I can’t wait to see what my future looks like at AimBig”, she said.

We love sharing success stories about Cessnock job agencies and employers who have worked together to recruit the right staff. We hope these success stories inspire more employers to focus on the abilities of local job seekers, and recruit staff from their local area.
