Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association (HVWTA) is a ‘not-for-profit’ membership based incorporated organisation representing over 280 businesses in the wine and tourism industries.

HVWTA have a Joint Tourism Services Agreement with Cessnock City Council, and works in partnership with Singleton Council to proactively represent the region in lobbying and advocacy and securing appropriate levels of funding.

HVWTA’s mission is in ensuring that the Hunter Valley is one of the most visited wine and tourism destinations in Australia and that our wines are recognised and valued, domestically and internationally.

We achieve this through advocacy and lobbying, destination marketing, industry development, business development and via the delivery of visitor servicing at the Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre, managed by Cessnock Council.

Business advisory services cover the establishment of new small business enterprises and existing small to medium enterprises who are experiencing issues, want to grow, or just want to be better.

Businesses can also take advantage of numerous business workshops and information seminars to assist in the development of their business.

They facilitate networking events and opportunities to encourage the growth and support of the business community in the Maitland, Cessnock, Dungog, Singleton, Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter local government areas.

Towns With Heart (TWH) is a community based economic development organisation.

Working primarily in the area of Kurri Kurri and surrounding villages of Abermain, Stanford Merthyr, Weston, Heddon Greta, Pelaw Main and Neath.

TWH is a vibrant community group of volunteers, passionate about delivering quality events, projects and initiatives which generate economic and social benefits, increase visitation and tourism expenditure and showcase the community’s assets.

The Parish of Pokolbin organisation aims to preserve the traditional Pokolbin area.

Providing a marketing and promotional tool for businesses within the parish limits. The Parish of Pokolbin assists all businesses, whether food, wine, accommodation, or other attraction.

The Parish of Pokolbin remains as part of the oldest continuous viticultural region in Australia, whose decedents devoted many years to building the reputation of Pokolbin.
