Fawk Foods Kitchen & Bakery opened on July 2, 2018 in the Hunter Valley’s picturesque town of Pokolbin.
Open seven days a week from 7am to 3pm, Fawk has a focus on locally sourced products; foraged ingredients, local bacon, free range eggs and Fawk Foods’ own popular black garlic range.
There is a takeaway menu including artisan breads, as well as a popular dine in menu with classics like ‘Local Bacon and Eggs’ and more specialised dishes like our ‘Oven Baked Pancake.’
For those wanting to attempt the dishes at home, a brand new range of Fawk Foods artisan products are available to purchase.
This new venue fills a gap in the local market for accessible high quality food and drinks available.
“Support for local business is amazing” says owner Frank Fawkner. “We are very proud to work with many local suppliers to both offer our support to the Cessnock region and showcase our beautiful part of the world to the many visitors that come from all around the world”.
They are currently operating a full cafe menu and a selected bakery offerings.
There will be a full retail and wholesale bakery service in the coming months once they have completed the kitchen upgrade.
This will make them the only bakery in Hunter Valley Wine Country offering locally baked goods at this level.
