Business Profile

General Interest

Little Valley Farm is an alpaca breeding farm located at Laguna in the Wollombi valley.  They specialise in breeding Huacaya alpaca’s in white and fawn and they now also have some coloured alpacas.

For new alpaca owners, they offer hands-on training workshops that are stress free for the animals. They also provide information on the correct shelters and pens, shearing and general alpaca maintenance and grooming.

They are a small family business and understand how hard it can be to set up a farm especially with such unique animals like alpacas.

“We offer mentoring and after sales care for those people new to raising alpacas” says Daniela Riccio owner of Little Valley Farm.  “And we’ll keep new owners up to date on animal health and care and put them in touch with the right shearer”.

They are now moving into utilising the alpaca fleece more have their own alpaca yarn spun as well as milled fleece available for sale.

“I would like to look more into slow fashion” says Daniela, “as alpaca fleece is sustainable and long wearing”.

Little Valley Farm also offers a unique farm stay experience with accommodation available in either their rustic red rattler train carriage or shepherd’s hut.

Check out their website or Facebook page for farm stay bookings, or for produce, alpaca and fleece sales.
