For nearly 10 years Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tours has shared the best food and wine in the Hunter.

Quality experiences have kept Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tours atop the TripAdvisor tour operator list for the past five years.

“Our guides are knowledgeable, fun and have a real passion for this region and industry,” Phil says.

“Many of them have a background within the wine industry, and are well versed on the region.

“Visiting smaller, family owned wineries and offering a more personalised service is at the heart of our tours.”

A Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tours highlight is the Ultimate Cheese and Wine Matching Experience at the Euor Deli, located at de Iuliis Wines.

“We are the only tour operator within the Hunter Valley offering this experience, which we do twice daily at 11am and 3pm,” Phil says.

“It showcases both local and imported cheeses all matched with wines from de Iuliis Wines.”

Small beginnings have blossomed into a thriving business for these passionate foodies.

“We started Two Fat Blokes over nine years ago with just the 2 fat blokes and one vehicle,” Phil says.

“The business has grown and now incorporates eight vehicles, 10 guides, the restaurant and Euro deli.

“We’ve built a strong relationship with so many of the wonderful wineries and restaurants.”

It is those relationships that make doing business in this region great according to Phil.

“It’s the people.  There’s a real sense of community, and having lived in big cities where you don’t really know your neighbours, this region is very community focused,” Phil says.

“People are willing to help each other.”

Staying at number one means the Two Fat Blokes team is always looking for new experiences to offer customers.

“We’re always looking at new options for our tours to keep them fresh and fun.   With over 150 wineries to choose from, we offer great variety, and if possible, we accommodate special requests from our guests,” Phil says.

“We envisage that Two Fat Blokes will continue to grow, and keep providing the amazing experiences that have allowed us to get to where we are today.”
