Promotional Opportunity for Local Business at November Event

About the event:

Since 1981, the Sustainable Communities – Tidy Towns Program has been rewarding and recognising projects around litter reduction, waste management, recycling, heritage, community spirit and other environmental areas in towns both large and small across the breadth of NSW. The Program is run by the NSW branch of Keep Australia Beautiful

The 2018 Overall Sustainable Community – Tidy Town Award was presented to Cessnock last November at Orange, NSW (the 2017 winner) and as such Cessnock will be hosting the 2019 Awards to be held form 1-3 November 2019.

This annual event attracts 150-200 attendees from all areas of NSW who attend not only to receive the accolades of these awards but to explore the area that is the current overall winner.

Opportunities for sponsorship:

Two dinners will be held during the event including a casual outdoor BBQ on the Friday evening and a formal Awards dinner on the Saturday evening. Opportunities are available for local producers to showcase their products at these events through either:

  1.  Overall Dinner sponsor
  2.  Dinner wine sponsorship.
  3.  Local food products to showcase in dinner

Opportunities for Food and Wine Bus Tour Venues:

From 1-4 pm on Saturday 2 November bus tours (departing from and returning to the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre) have been arranged for attendees including:

Food and Wine:

Travel out into the renowned Hunter Valley Winery area to experience fine wines (and
beers), quality produce, handmade cheeses, decadent chocolates and home grown olives.
Council is looking for 3-4 venues for this tour to stop at where free tasting and purchases are available. It is envisaged that this tour would attract 40-50 delegates eager to sample local produce and purchase items to take home.

Opportunities for Gift Bag Inclusions:

Every attendee will be given a sample bag with information about the area. There is an opportunity for small samples, pens, etc. to be included in these backs if businesses would like to provide 200 of each item.

Businesses interested in taking advantage of these opportunities should contact Tricia Donnelly via or 4993 4239 by 25 September 2019.
