The NSW Government has launched Dine & Discover NSW to support dining, arts and tourism businesses.

Cessnock City Council’s Economic Development and Visitor Centre teams are encouraging businesses to participate in the new program, encouraging the community to get out and about.

Dine and Discover will essentially drive domestic visitation to the area and provide the opportunity for residents to explore their own backyard while spending locally.

From March, the scheme will roll out across the state and all successfully registered businesses will be able to accept Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers and redeem them through the Service NSW for Business app.

NSW residents over the age of 18 will receive four vouchers totalling $100, with two vouchers to spend on food and two on entertainment.

The food and entertainment vouchers can be used for eating in restaurants, cafes, bars, wineries, pubs and clubs and entertainment and recreation including cultural institution, live music and art venues.

The vouchers are expected to bring the hospitality and entertainment industries a combined value of $1.5 billion across the state.
