An Employment Facilitator is being sought for the Hunter Valley region in New South Wales from 1 July 2019 – 30 June 2022.
The Facilitator will provide on-the-ground assistance to help the region prepare to successfully transition ahead of the closure of the Liddell power station in 2022. The facilitator will engage directly with local stakeholders to support job seekers, workers in transition and their families to connect them with training, job opportunities and other existing support.
As part of the role the Employment Facilitator will work with stakeholders including the department, employers, employment services and training providers and community sectors to identify projects or activities which may generate employment opportunities and assist job seekers in the region.
The facilitator will be based in the Hunter Valley region and will be expected to work closely with the Australian Government, the New South Wales State Government, local councils and other key stakeholders.
The Employment Facilitator will work alongside local employers to raise awareness of services, create linkages and promote Australian Government programs available in the region.
