Help is available to rebuild after the 2019-20 Black Summer Fires.
It focusses on supporting businesses in the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA) that have been most impacted by the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires.
Strengthening Business provides access to a network of experienced business experts who will help bushfire-affected businesses recover and re-establish themselves to be stronger and more resilient businesses in the future.
Cessnock City Council are reaching out to local businesses within the LGA to ensure that all eligible businesses are aware of this service.
Cessnock LGA has been identified as one of the 32 local government areas named to receive support after being impacted by the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires.
Eligible businesses will get access to a dedicated business facilitator who will work with you to develop a plan to navigate the challenges and opportunities faced after the bushfires.
They will provide access to extensive networks, national information, resources, strategies, and guidance on relevant funding to assist your business to recover.
The business facilitators are local, independent business experts who will work directly with you to reshape your business so it is stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the future.
You can apply if your business:
- has a current Australian Business Number,
- is in an identified local government area in New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria, and
- was engaged in business at the time of the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires.
