Has great service made your day?  Return the favour and nominate someone for the 2016 Cessnock Customer Service Awards.

Now in its sixth year, the Cessnock Customer Service Awards celebrates the hardworking people in our LGA across hospitality, retail, trade, professional, community services and business owner categories.

The awards are a Cessnock Chamber of Commerce initiative, however all employees and business owners in the LGA are eligible for nomination.  This recognises the critical role customer service plays in defining the character of our region for locals and visitors alike.

Chamber president Geoff Walker said the awards connect the business community with its customers.

“In a region like Cessnock with a high number of tourism businesses, excellent customer service is essential,” Mr Walker said.

“This is the only award in the Hunter that rewards staff excellence and with over 500 nominations last year, our annual event is in a strong position to continue to grow.”

Cessnock City Council is a proud sponsor of the Cessnock Customer Service Awards as it too recognises the importance of front line customer service to the LGA.

Research has shown good customer service is key to building good customer relationships.  Good customer relationships promote return business and increase transaction value.  These are vital underpinnings for a strong local and visitor economy.
