Supporting Stronger First Nations Community Event Program

Closing: 21 March, 2025


This program provides funding to support community events that celebrate, engage, and benefit Traditional Owners and Indigenous people within Shell’s QGC project area.

Eligible Events

Funding is available for events that:

  • Directly support Traditional Owners and Indigenous communities
  • Promote Indigenous culture to the wider community
  • Celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025 or Reconciliation Week 2025
  • Focus on cultural preservation through art, dance, music, or storytelling
  • Provide training, education, or learning opportunities for Indigenous people

Funding Can Cover:

  • Event materials (equipment, catering, prizes)
  • Advertising and promotion
  • Logistics and event management
  • Entertainment, speakers, and workshops
  • School-based programs

Organisations interested in applying can use funding to enhance the reach and impact of their events.
