Veteran Wellbeing

The Veteran Wellbeing Grants (VWG) Program funds ex-service organisations (ESOs) to deliver projects that improve health and wellbeing, build community capacity, expand activities, and highlight issues affecting veterans.

Program Objectives
The program aims to:

  • Improve independence and quality of life for veterans through health and social wellbeing projects.
  • Build community capacity with activities not covered by other government funding.
  • Expand existing projects into new regions or develop new activities for multiple locations.
  • Raise awareness of key challenges faced by the veteran community.

Funding Details
The Australian Government has allocated up to $3.777 million (GST exclusive) for the 2024–25 financial year. Grants fall under two categories:

  • Stream A (Small Grants): Up to $50,000.
  • Stream B (Large Grants): $50,001 to $150,000.

Applications will compete for funding across both streams, with no set allocation per category.
