Are you paying too much for electricity? OK, stupid question, but with summer heat poised to increase everyone’s power bill, it might be time to see if you can keep your costs down.
The NSW Business Chamber is trying to help businesses, great and small, to reduce the amount they pay for electricity.
Compare, switch and save
Their program is called ‘5 in 5’ ($5 million savings in 5 weeks) and is designed to help you compare whether your current electricity deal is the cheapest one for you.
How does it work?
You go onto their website and register, with a short form, that lets you specify when it would be a good time for them to call you back. To save time you can upload a PDF (portable document format) of your phone bill when you register. A PDF is a scanned copy of your power bill and it’s the format the power company emails you if you get electronic power bills.
Someone from the NSW Business Chamber then talks you through the comparison program using a selection of energy retailers that they deal with (the list is on the FAQ page on the website). The process should take about ten minutes.
This is a free service for businesses and you don’t have to be a member of the NSW Business Chamber to access this deal (although I’m sure they won’t mind if you decide to sign up).
As they say on their website, if you’re already getting the best deal, then you’ll at least have peace of mind.
Contact the NSW Business Chamber on 13 26 96 for more information or go straight to the website to register.
