Cessnock City Council’s Economic Development team will present the latest in a series of business networking events funded by the Bushfire Community and Resilience and Recovery Fund (BCRRF) provided through the joint disaster recovery funding arrangement between NSW and Commonwealth Government.
This event has an employment focus and guests will hear an Employment Update by Karla Notman the Employment Facilitator for the Hunter Region, watch the new employment industry videos produced by Council to get jobseekers interested in growth industries for the area, hear about Council’s new initiatives for getting access to trained candidates for available roles, a new transport pilot program to get staff from Cessnock to the vineyards and hear keynote speaker Carolyn Miller.
Carolyn is the founder of The Honeycomb Effect communications consultancy, and has been working in marketing for over 20 years, with regular appearances on Gruen on the ABC since 2009. Carolyn will present practical tips for fostering your audience, employees and customers through digital marketing and engagement. From your own direct communications, to online advertising and social, there’s plenty of ideas to get you started, or to amplify your existing activity. It’s all about engaging our local business community to recharge, look at the cultural trends and take a fresh approach with this engaging and experienced marketer.
This is a chance for local businesses from the Cessnock LGA to mingle and network whilst hearing from a highly experienced marketing professional who will discuss Digital Strategy, Employee Engagement, Cultural trends and customer centricity.
You will also be treated to a delicious three course lunch at the Grand Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens.
