Advance Cessnock City hosted another round of the Digital Bootcamp in November. Participants learned many important aspects of operating a small business in the digital age, and importantly how to utilise digital technology and strategy for small businesses.
Many said that they wanted to learn more about social media and how to use it in a business environment.
NetStripes would like to run more workshops in Cessnock in 2019, but they want you to tell them your main areas of interest and how you’d like to see the sessions run.
They have devised a short but insightful survey to find out what you want.
In the past the sessions have been run as either two half days or as a full day but netStripes has added a new option in the survey, a webinar.
What’s a webinar?
A webinar is a live meeting that takes place over the internet. Those who participate view a live video feed, where usually they can ask questions, post answers, or make comments in real time. The presenter can then respond immediately as part of the presentation.
It’s very much like being in a room with them, except you can do it anywhere you have a device and good internet reception. So if you have a smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer with a reliable internet connection you’re all set.
Often the webinar can be viewed later for a period of time, but at that stage it’s only a recording of what took place on the day.
So what do YOU want?
If you want to learn more about doing business using digital technology, tools and strategies, jump on to the netStripes survey and let them know where your interests lie.
The courses are heavily subsidised by the NSW Government’s Business Connect program.
We want as many of you to be as tech savvy as possible, because being able to operate effectively with today’s technology is good for business, and what’s good for business is good for Cessnock City.
