As restrictions begin to ease, many businesses are getting ready for the much-anticipated reopening of their doors.

As part of the COVID-19 road to recovery process, Cessnock City Council have teamed up with Training Services NSW and are currently working together on solutions to support local businesses in the Cessnock Local Government area (LGA).

An opportunity has become available with the possibility of fee-free training to assist local businesses throughout the economic recovery. However, we need to get in quick!

Businesses are encouraged to get involved and provide details to Training Services NSW on what type of training is required to reopen their doors safely and confidently.

The following training options may be offered along with other suggestions:

  1. Infection control
  2. Cleaning operations or
  3. Other (please specify)

Your feedback will provide valuable insight into the impacts of COVID-19 on your business.

Businesses are required to provide their business type, the number of participants required to undertake the training along with details of the preferred contact person as further details become available.

The expression of interest is specific to COVID-19, however there is also a focus on supporting disaster relief, such as bushfire and drought affected business as needs are identified.

Businesses are not making any kind of commitment by expressing interest in this development opportunity.
