Winding Down Wineries Waste

Go Circular is excited to launch ‘Winding Down Wineries Waste,’ a pioneering project to reduce food and organic waste in the Hunter Valley wine region. Funded by the NSW Environment Protection Authority, this project aims to create a replicable model for waste reduction that can be applied across wine regions throughout Australia.

Partnering with key industry associations, local councils, and sustainability leaders, including the Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association, Cessnock Council, Hunter Culinary Association, Loop Organics and winery with restaurants, we will co-design innovative solutions that equip stakeholders with the skills to drive long-lasting change.

Be a part of the change to create a ‘Circular Economy Hub’ in the heart of the Hunter Valley, while reducing your food waste and creating a ‘greener’ hospitality sector.

We are looking for wineries with restaurants, and restaurants in the Hunter Valley to take part in this project, with the aim to:

  • attract customers and eco-tourists
  • Reduce food waste and lower environmental impacts
  • Reduce businesses’ operating costs
