Non-Residential Roll Closing Soon

Local government elections will be held for most NSW councils on Saturday 14 September, 2024.

The Non-residential roll (NRR) is for people who don’t live in the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA) but would like to vote in our election.

To be eligible to vote as a non-resident, you must be:

• An owner of rateable land in the LGA or

• An occupier or rate-paying lessee of rateable land in the LGA.

Eligible corporations can also enrol to vote on the NRR for a wardor Council area. A corporation is entitled to nominate a person to appear on the rollon their behalf.

It’s important to note that regardless of whether you are enrolled on the residential or NRR, you can only vote once within a council area.

To apply to be included on the NRR, complete the relevant form on Council’s website here by 6pm, Monday 5 August 2024.
