Support Local Competition

Support Local is an initiative of Advance Greater Cessnock in partnership with local Chambers and Associations establishing greater support and promotion of local businesses within the community.

Locals supporting locals is all about working together. It’s about shopping and buying local; as well as hiring local talent – it’s about keeping doors open! When we support local, every member of the community gets to enjoy the economic, social and environmental benefits; not just now, but well into the future.

To ensure the success of the campaign we need YOU, our community to work collectively with Advance Greater Cessnock and partners to bring about change!


EXTERNAL COMPETITIONS
GET IN TOUCH
Our Support Local Competition gives away $5,000 in prizes yearly. Each month we have a brand new competition, past examples include:
  • Win 2 adults balloon flights with champagne breakfast and photo package valued at $458 - to win this amazing prize tell us where you get your morning coffee or love to stop for brunch in the Cessnock LGA.
  • Win a 2 night staycation valued at $500 - tell us your favourite accommodation business or somewhere you would LOVE to stay in the Hunter Valley in 25 words. 
  • Win 1 of 5 Gift vouchers for 18 holes of Golf at Cypress Lakes valued at $95 each - tell us your favourite Hunter Valley winery, brewery or distillery.
  • Win A $100 Gift Voucher - give a Shoutout in 25 words to a “Trusted Tradie” in the Greater Cessnock area (including Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Branxton, Wine Country and Wollombi Valley.

Tell us your favourite gym, fitness studio, personal trainer or yoga studio in the Cessnock LGA to win!

There are three vouchers up for grabs:

  • 1 x $200 - Voucher Hunter Wellness Clinic
  • 1 x $150 - Voucher Quinntessential Massage
  • 1 x $150 - Voucher Hogan Health

To enter:

  1. Tell us your favourite gym, fitness studio, personal trainer or yoga studio in the greater Cessnock area (including Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Branxton, Wine Country, and Wollombi Valley).
  2. Tag the business you nominate.
  3. Snap and share a photo
  4. Use the hashtag #SupportLocalCessnock

Enter as many times as you like - the more entries, the greater your chances of winning.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Three (3) vouchers to be won.
  2. The competition commences at 9:00am AEST on 01 March 2025 and closes at 9.00am AEST on 31 March 2025 (the “Promotion Period”).
  3. Once notified, Winners prizes can be collected from the Cessnock City Council Customer Service desk 62-78 Vincent St Cessnock with proof of identification required.
