As part of the 2024 Seniors Festival, a 55+ Employment Session and Morning Tea will be held at Cessnock Leagues Club. Open to local businesses looking to hire 55+ staff, and local 55+ residents looking for work.

If you are a Local Business

In 2021 the Seniors unemployment rate was 4.5% in Cessnock or 5,266 people.

Unemployed people in this category are defined as those people aged 55 years and over who, in the week prior to Census night, did not have a job but were actively looking for either full or part-time work.

If you are a local business interested in hearing more about the 55+ employee pool and eager to meet locals looking for work, submit an EOI. You can attend on the day or will be represented. This EOI will be used to match up the interested over 55’s to positions.

Submit your EOI here
If you have any questions please call (02) 4993 6707 or email economic.development@cessnock.nsw.gov.au
