Cessnock City Council's Economic Development Unit has extensive local business knowledge, have run small and medium businesses and worked in large corporations. Our aim is to provide personalised support to increase opportunities for local businesses, increase exposure to our beautiful region for investment and advocate for issues affecting socio-economic performance.

The Office of the NSW Small Business Commissioner was created by the NSW Government as an independent and strong voice for small businesses within government.
The Commissioner speaks to government about small business issues and runs a number of programs to assist small businesses throughout the state.
