There has been a major impact to the rostering of staff on public holidays.

Employers must now request employees to work the public holiday day.

It is important for employees to take note that their empoyer cannot roster and make them work a public holiday without the resuest and agreement. If an employer does not follow the rules of requesting, they will be breaching the Fair Work Act.
