McGuigan Wines won Australian Wine Producer of the Year in 2009, 20011, 2012 and last year 2016 and to add to this, have won the ‘Best Semillon in the World’ for the last 7 years running.

 

“This year we also won ‘Best Riesling in the world’, and last year we won ‘Best Shiraz/Syrah in the world’.

 

With such a prestigious lineage of awards, McGuigan Wines Hunter Valley Cellar Door offers unique cellar-door-only wines not available anywhere else.

 

McGuigan Wines Cellar Door can cater for wine tastings for groups as small as 2 and up to as many as 100 people, offering a warm welcome from the friendly and knowledgeable team at the cellar door.

 

“We have car and bus parking on-site, with the Hunter Valley Cheese Company right next door. We can look after Corporate Groups with venue hire plus special wine and food packages available on request”, says Gavin Roberts.

 

“We also run a daily winery tour at 12:00, so we have a lot to offer locals as well as travellers to the Hunter Valley.”

 

Tours will take you around the winery itself and give you a glimpse inside the wine-making process.

 

McGuigan Wines opened their doors in 1992 and are proud to employ 30 staff members at the Pokolbin Cellar Door.

 

Both Neil McGuigan, the current CEO, and Brian McGuigan, the Founder of McGuigan Wines live in the Pokolbin region of the Hunter Valley. They are passionate about wine, the Hunter Valley and the Australian Wine Industry.

 

McGuigan Cellar Door has recently released 5 brand new wines – all Cellar Door only products. They are the 2017 Hunter Semillon, 2017 Pinot Grigio, 2017 Sauvignon Blanc, 2017 Riesling and the 2016 Hunter Valley Merlot. Come and try them – they’re only available at the Cellar Door.
