The Hunter Valley Airshow is an exhilarating weekend of aviation entertainment that takes over the skies above Cessnock Airport on April 6 and 7, 2019. Each day will feature a five hour aerial display that includes; aerobatic solos, formation aerobatics, warbirds, skydiving and heart stopping stunts.
Feel the tremendous roar of these planes rumble through your soul, clap through your chest and then when you try and regain yourself you realise the whole ground is on fire and the crowd is echoing the thunder of these engines!!
The airshow has a wealth of aviation resources including some of the only flying warbirds in the southern hemisphere. And if you want to take to the skies, there will also be adventure flights, helicopter rides, and hot air balloon flights to enjoy.
On the ground there will be a static display of vintage aircraft, military vehicles, vintage cars, Rural Fire Brigade vehicles and a freestyle motocross show. The festival also showcases and celebrates the best the Hunter Valley has to offer including; wine, craft beer, delicious food and handmade markets.
And there will be a whole section of the show to keep the kids entertained, with carnival rides, jumping castles, face painting and roaming performers.
The airshow is backed by Paul Bennet Airshows, the leader in aerial displays. Paul has over 5000 display related flying hours in front of tens of millions of fans. He is a master of aerial entertainment and one of the country’s finest air show performers. Paul’s airshows are always professionally planned and meticulously rehearsed.
The airshow team is made up of locals who have partnered with local businesses as sponsors and stall holders to ensure this event benefits the whole economic region.
This is the inaugural Hunter Valley Airshow and the team has plans to make it a bi-annual event.
But the airshow is not only for aviation enthusiasts. There is also enough on the ground to keep all members of the family happy.
