The Hunter Valley Visitor Centre is located at 455 Wine Country Drive Pokolbin, at the entry to Cessnock Airport; and is the ideal place for information, bookings and to buy unique products from businesses around the Hunter Valley.
It proudly displays the accredited ‘i’ sign which is a guarantee of quality service and reliable information.
“Although it is a visitor information centre, it’s not just for visitors to the region” says Visitor Centre Coordinator Melissa George. “It’s also a great place for locals to buy unique locally produced gifts, or to book local experiences such as ballooning and joy flights”.
“We want to extend a 10% discount to locals in our gift shop using the coupon (below), simply print or show our staff!”
The friendly staff can provide you with information on how to entertain the family over the Christmas period, they have all the region’s events in one place and even know what’s on for children (and bigger children at heart!)
Continuing with the buy local theme this Christmas, the centre’s gift shop has you covered. The Visitor Centre stocks over 85 local suppliers of some of the region’s finest produce and locally made gifts. Perfect for Christmas!
Fill those stockings with local honey, jams, condiments, oils, handmade soaps, souvenirs, skin products, handbags, lavender, jewellery, home furnishings, Alpaca products, and apparel.
They also have a range of authentic Aboriginal cultural products in the Les Elvin ‘Kungera’ art room, and local artworks for sale in the Gallery.
And for those hard to buy for family members, why not ask the staff for suggestions for unique adventure experiences throughout the Hunter region.
And while you’re there enjoy a tasting of local wines at the tastings counter, or grab a coffee and a bite to eat in the Cafe onsite – PKs on Pokolbin.
