Cessnock Hospital Redevelopment - Give your feedback

The Cessnock Hospital Redevelopment's concept design was released today for staff, stakeholder and community feedback. The designs show the location of the new building on the hospital campus and how it will integrate with existing hospital buildings. Staff and the community are invited to provide feedback on the concept design by completing this short survey by Friday 14 June 2024.

The community will benefit from a range of enhanced health services that will be housed in a brand-new, two-level Acute Services Building on the Cessnock Hospital campus.

The project scope is being confirmed through the planning and design process, and is expected to include:
• A new and expanded Emergency Department
• Two new inpatient units featuring one and two-bed patient rooms with ensuite bathrooms
• A new medical imaging service
• Improvements to connections with existing buildings across the campus

In determining the design, key factors have been considered. They included the available budget, configuration of buildings to align with health service priorities, creating optimal connections to existing buildings and services, enhancing access and parking on the hospital campus, and future proofing the design for future development.
