Feel free to share

The current pandemic, infamously known as COVID-19 has provided the opportunity for innovation and new concepts focusing on working remotely for organisations across the world.

Many people have been met with the challenge of trying to juggle full-time childcare, home-schooling and working from home while attempting to preserve as much productivity as possible.

Maintaining a sense of familiarity, consistency and preserving old routines is key to maintaining mental health and wellbeing through change and uncertainty.

Here are a few simple tips as to what you can do to maintain your health and wellbeing, stay connected and continue communications within your workplace while social distancing:

  1. Stay connected with work colleagues and keep a daily check on your mental health by sharing your thoughts and feelings.
  2. Move your body! Get out and exercise daily (complying with the Government’s restrictions of course). This will help clear your head and prevent cabin fever.
  3. Maintain flexibility towards work-life balance both as an employer and employee. Remember this is uncharted territory for everyone – We are all in this together!
  4. Be kind! An act of kindness is good for the soul. Doing something for someone else while not expecting anything in return will do wonders for your wellbeing.
