Businesses can register for a new shorter ‘.au’ domain name which matches existing businesses website domains.

Instead of mybusiness.com.au, for example, the same business can now register “mybusiness.au”

Registrations will close on 20 September, 2022.
Applications can be submitted to current domain name registrars or via participating auDA accredited registrars,

auDA said that websites with .au domain names were recognised as local and helped websites rank higher in Internet search results for Internet users in Australia.
