2024/25 Regional Event Fund

The NSW Government has allocated $1.5 million via the Regional Event Fund to elevate events and experiences throughout the state in the 2024/25 fiscal year. Managed by Destination NSW, the government's tourism and events agency, this fund aims to bolster regional events through three distinct streams:

  1. Incubator Event Stream: Newly established events in their first or second years can access up to $20,000 in seed funding to foster activities conducive to establishing the event as a visitor attraction.
  2. Flagship Event Stream: Events operating for over two years are eligible for grants of $20,000 to enhance visibility and encourage attendance. Events having exhausted their annual grants may qualify for $30,000 in funding over three years.
  3. Event Development Stream: Established events with a proven track record, having previously completed triennial funding under the Flagship Event stream, can secure grants of up to $50,000 to support strategic growth initiatives.
