Renae Boulton says starting her own business three years ago has given her the freedom to find her niche in the beauty industry and the flexibility to balance life as a busy mum and small business owner.

Not only a successful Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, Renae was recently featured as Surreal Beauty Magazine’s makeup artist of the month.  Renae offers a range of services including eyelash extensions, skin care and beauty advice, and qualified, accredited makeup artistry for all special occasions.

Renae says the picturesque Cessnock region is a popular wedding venue and she’s built strong referral relationships and networks with aligned service providers. Weddings are a highlight for Renae; she’s adept at primping and polishing brides-to-be while providing a little counselling along the way.

“In terms of weddings I always go the extra mile for my brides – this starts with their trial as I learn all about what they have planned for their big day. She says the classes can be fun or focus on problem solving.  “I find the one-on-one classes are popular as skin concerns are very personal for some people. During the class I show clients the best ways to correct or prevent issues and create a look that suits their lifestyle,” she says.

“I find clients tend to view group classes as more of a fun, girly get together. Group classes are perfect for a hen’s party or baby shower.”
