Goldfish Bar & Kitchen at Tempus Two has taken the hassle out of New Year’s Eve 2015 with its offer of a cracker of a celebration right here in the Hunter.

Function and events manager Nicola Bowers says the 22-strong Goldfish team is keen to see the venue come alive as revellers check out the new Terrace Bar and make the countdown to 2016.

“Why would you go to Newcastle or Sydney when you can have a great night full of gourmet food, cocktails and live music in the one location and at a great price?” says Nicola.

And it’s not just for special events that The Goldfish—the region’s only cocktail bar in a winery—is a destination of choice.

For five years gourmands from far and wide have been enjoying great cocktails, tasty share food, fine wine and al fresco dining for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

There’s also a great function space that can cater for groups of two up to 250 people, and live music and entertainment on Saturdays during the summer months.

Nicola says the team loves their locals – working in a bar gives staff a great opportunity to have a chat and get to know everyone.

“It’s great to cater to the locals during the down time mid-week,” says Nicola.

“We provide a locals’ night on the last Tuesday of each month and on Saturday nights we offer our patrons a courtesy bus that runs within 15km of our venue to pick up and drop off.

“We also do cocktail artistry classes at our Terrace Bar which is a great day out for hen’s parties or birthdays.”

A deeply passionate bar and kitchen staff is what sets The Goldfish apart from the competition according to Nicola.

“The cocktail bar tenders here are very knowledgeable and passionate about all the products we have,” says Nicola.

“The kitchen team produce all of the items using fresh and, where possible, local ingredients.  Our Pizzas have become well known as the best in the Hunter made with house made and house rolled bases and gourmet toppings.”
