Director Grant Howells says Metal Mates has come a long way since it was established nearly 20 years ago, growing to employ around 10 permanent staff and providing opportunities for local young people through work experience and traineeships.

“We started in 1997 from Cessnock Street with two business partners and no staff and pretty much have grown every year from there,” says Grant.
