Greater Bank this year changed its name from Greater Building Society to better reflect what they do to help people manage their money.

When asked how active Greater Bank are in the regions, James responded that Greater Bank supports the community through sponsorships of community and sporting events including the Hunter Academy of Sport and being the Major Community Partner of the Newcastle Jets Football Club.

“We’ve helped the Jets to get closer to fans and members through free kids’ clinics, school visits and community round matches like the recent free clinic held in Cessnock” says James.

“Our Charitable Foundation also provides funding for projects that make a long lasting difference to families and communities. Its support for Father Chris Reilly’s Youth Off the Streets saw almost $200,000 in funding for a suite of 14 programs for at risk and disadvantaged young people in Cessnock, Kurri Kurri and Maitland. Captain Starlight is regularly visiting Maitland Hospital to put a smile on the faces of sick kids thanks to the Foundation. Since its inception in 2011 the Foundation has provided more than $6 million in funding”.
