Peppers Creek Chapel & Barrel Room is located in Pokolbin and has been in operation for 20 years. However, has been under new ownership for a year now. They employ 20 staff and provide a wedding & event function space, which also incorporates catering & bar service.
What sets them apart is the Tuscan sandstone features of the chapel and barrel room spaces which also have the largest fireplace in the Hunter Valley.
Owner Jade says they are a one stop shop for weddings, offering onsite accommodation, catering, bar, styling and florals. They also have a combination of vineyard, mountain & water backdrop photo locations.
What is great about working in Cessnock is the sense of community, familiarity, generational family businesses and staff and the changing vistas of vineyards, mountain and bush.
Owner Jade has always had a love for this business prior to becoming the new owner. It has been a priority to collaborate with the loyal and hardworking, pre-existing team. Many who have been working at the venue for over 15 years. Their head chef lee has been working at the venue for nineteen years and makes everything from scratch and consciously reuses wines and other local ingredients in the kitchen.
